Acid House Love Blueprint: Liverpool - Special Edition for Museum of Liverpool

A special 'Liverpool' edition of our original Acid House Love Blueprint mapping out the history of dance music and rave culture in the city and its surrounds on the circuit diagram of a 303 bass synthesizer.

Designed as a permanent display for Museum of Liverpool’s ‘Wondrous Place’ gallery, which celebrates the breath of the city’s creativity.

The blueprint acknowledges the DJs, promoters, labels, clubs, clubs nights, record stores and labels that have been pivotal to the popularity of dance music in Liverpool and Merseyside.

From Les Spaine spinning funk and soul at the Timepiece in the 1970s; acid house’s take over of The State in the 80s; Quadrant Park’s infamous all-nighters in the early 90s; the rise of Cream as a super club and mega brand for the millennium, to Yousef and Circus's 'First Dance’ after lockdown at Bramley Moore Dock in 2021

Featuring a whole host of other clubs (G-Love, 051, Mardi Gras, Garlands, Le Bateau, Nation, The Masque, Invisible Wind Factory, 24 Kitchen Street) and club nights (The Underground, Daisy, Voodoo, Bugged Out!, Chibuku Shake Shake, Circus, Sonic Yootha) that have all helped make Liverpool a spiritual home for clubbers.

And special mention to the DJs and individuals that made it all happen including Greg Wilson, John Kelly, Andy Carroll, Girls on Top, James Barton, Jayne Casey, 3 Beat Records, Andy Nicholson, Steve Shiels, Dave Clarke, Paul Bleasdale, Graeme Park and Yousef.

This special edition screen print is only for sale from our store or from Liverpool Museum’s gallery store.
